Hawthorn have announced Ben Stratton as their captain for the 2019 season in a new-look leadership group.
Stratton will be joined by vice-captain Jack Gunston, with Liam Shiels, Isaac Smith and newcomers Ben McEvoy and Jaeger OโMeara to round out the leadership group.
โItโs an honour and a privilege to captain the Hawthorn Football Club,โ Stratton told the club website.
โTitles are not something that Iโve focused on in my career, but itโs a special feeling to know youโve been backed in by your teammates and the club.
โWeโve been blessed with so many great leaders over my time at the Hawks and Iโve been able to learn so much from each of them.
