West Coast have made small forward Liam Ryan unavailable for this weekend's clash with the Giants, as the club continue to support him following an off-field incident on Monday.

Ryan was involved in a minor car accident earlier this week, and Eagles General Manager of Football Craig Vozzo told the club's website Ryan's health and wellbeing is the most important issue right now.

“Liam has and will continue to fully co-operate with the police in respect of Monday morning’s incident,” Vozzo said.

“Liam will not be considered for senior selection this week and our focus will be on supporting him in every way we can.

“Football considerations are secondary to his personal circumstances at present and we will wait until there is some clarity around the situation before making any further comment.”

It is unclear whether Ryan will miss more than just one match.
