Fremantle confirmed on Tuesday morning that they will challenge Michael Walters' one-match suspension for headbutting Demon Jay Lockhart.
The Dockers risk a $10,000 sanction in the process as Walters' hearing will come after Eagles star Jeremy McGovern's at the AFL tribunal on Tuesday night.
AFL MRO Michael Christian stated that the evidence from reporting umpire Curtis Deboy played a bit part in Walters' ban given there is no clear vision of the incident.
"The first thing was the available vision, and because this was a report on the day we spoke with umpire Curtis Deboy and took into account his evidence of what he saw," Christian said yesterday.
"He was perfectly positioned and his evidence did carry some significant weight in this determination.
"After his evidence, we were satisfied that there was enough impact to grade it 'low impact'."
The incident was assessed as intentional with low impact and high contact.
