Carlton have confirmed six debutants for their clash with Richmond on Thursday night, with two players making their AFL debuts.

No. 1 draft pick Sam Walsh will play, while Michael Gibbons – who was signed over the off-season – will also take the field.

Recruits Will Setterfield, Mitch McGovern, Nic Newman and Alex Fasolo will all play.

Carlton coach Brendon Bolton also confirmed ruckman Matthew Kreuzer won’t be fit to play, and like defender Caleb Marchbank, will be 1-2 weeks away.
