Western Bulldogs forward Isabel Huntington will miss the rest of the AFLW season, after rupturing her anterior cruciate ligament in Sunday's win over Fremantle.

Huntington, just minutes after kicking two goals for her side, was chasing down a ball deep in the forward line, before going over in the pocket, and instantly clutching at her knee.

It's the second time the 18-year-old has tore her ACL.

Dogs head coach Paul Groves was devastated to hear the news, but told the club's website the entire organisation is behind her.

Everyone at the club is really hurting for Izzy,” Groves told westernbulldogs.com.au.

"We saw on Sunday just how talented a player she is, kicking two goals in as many minutes, and we were all shattered to see her go down injured.

“We will fully support Izzy during this difficult time and look forward to seeing her back out there as soon as possible.”
