Gold Coast has suffered a blow ahead of its derby with Brisbane at Metricon Stadium on Saturday night, with midfielder David Swallow a late out.
Swallow, who only managed 10 games due to injury last season, has been withdrawn due to an ankle injury.
He has been replaced in the selected side by Josh Schoenfeld.
The Lions will go into the game as selected.
