Melbourne forward Jesse Hogan has broken his collarbone and will have surgery on Sunday after suffering the injury in his side's loss to the Roos on Saturday afternoon.
Hogan sustained the broken collarbone during the third quarter when he collided with North Melbourne's Luke McDonald in this incident.

After the match, coach Simon Goodwin confirmed the extent of Hogan's injury, which should at least rule the key forward out until September.
Hogan is now in doubt to return to Melbourne's line-up before their season ends.
