Adelaide have been forced into a late change ahead of Saturday's clash with GWS, with the alteration set to see youngster Zac Taylor make his AFL debut.

A back issue to defender Chayce Jones during the club's captain's run session on Friday has led to the change, adding the three changes confirmed at selection on Thursday.

Taylor joined Adelaide as the 44th selection at the 2021 National Draft out of the Calder Cannons.

The 21-year-old has played nine games at SANFL level this year for the Crows, averaging 18.7 disposals, 3.0 marks, 4.7 tackles and 5.3 clearances per game.

Taylor becomes the Crows' third debutant of 2024 following Daniel Curtin and Billy Dowling.

Jones comes out of the side due to a back injury, missing his first game of the year.

The Crows have not named a replacement emergency for the Round 16 clash, with James Borlase and Lachlan Gollant still on standby.

Borlace was joined by Kieran Strachan and Harry Schoenberg in being omitted from the side that fell to Sydney in Round 14.

Reilly O'Brien, Taylor Walker and Elliott Himmelberg have come into the team.

Adelaide host GWS at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night at 7:30pm (AEST).
