Hawthorn premiership player Brad Hill has been embroiled in a Police investigation, after an alleged nightclub assault in Narre Warren, The Age has reported.

An altercation reportedly broke out in the early hours of January 24 at Empire nightclub, which left a 21-year-old man with facial injuries.

A 22-year-old woman along with Hill were interviewed by detectives from the Casey crime investigation unit and the investigation is still ongoing.

The Age has reported that Hill told club officials he was just an onlooker during the incident, with the club believed to have accepted his version of events.

“Hawthorn Football Club is aware that one of its players is assisting police in an investigation into a report of alleged altercation on January 24th, ” the Hawks said in a statement.
