New Hawthorn skipper Ben McEvoy has extended his contract with the club, signing on with the Hawks until the end of the 2022 season.
McEvoy, 31, has played 131 games with the Hawks since his arrival in 2014 and is a two-time premiership winner with the club.
The flexible tall, who was recently named captain of the club for 2021, is set to play a key role for the club in leading the next line of Hawks into the future.

Head of Football Rob McCartney said the re-signing of McEvoy was important for the club.
โBen is a man of wonderful character who is constantly striving to make the club a better place,โ McCartney told the club website.
โHe has recently been voted in as captain, which reflects the level of respect the playing group, and the entire club, has for him.

โAs we develop our list for future success, Ben will play an important role over the next few years as both as a player and leader.โ
Hawthorn fans will be hoping McEvoy's new on-year extension is the first of several re-signings at the club, with the likes of James Worpel, Blake Hardwick and Will Day headlining a long list of off-contract players.
