The Fremantle Dockers just can't take a trick this off-season.

Harley Bennell is the latest player to run into trouble with the Police, with the 24-year-old's car impounded on Tuesday night.

News Limited has reported Bennell was stopped for a routine traffic check, when he was informed his licence had been suspended from the end of last month due to loss of demerit points. His car was impounded as a result.

Bennell is the third Docker to cause headaches for the club this off-season, with veteran defender Michael Johnson charged with assault last month after a drunken night out in November.

Meanwhile, forward Shane Yarran has been granted leave from the club, after he was charged with unlawful wounding in relation to an alleged incident in July 2015. He also appeared in court on Tuesday in relation to a charge of aggravated common assault from an incident in November this year.
