Deal: Dan Hannebery and pick 28 to St Kilda in exchange for a pick 38 and a future second round pick.

The saints have secured a big signing from the Swans in this deal, with the 27-year-old Hannebery seeking an opportunity somewhere else after struggling at the Swans in 2018.

Hannerbery only managed to kick one goal this year and averaged 19 touches a game as he didn't manage to make the Swans' top five in their best and fairest.

He has played 10 years in Sydney and wants to come back home and teach the young St Kilda players his knowledge that he has picked up over the duration of his career.

For the Saints, they have added an experienced midfielder who has won a premiership in 2012. This will help try and guide young players like Jade Gresham and Jack Billings in order for the club to succeed in the future.

Grade: B

A deal that needed to happen for both sides as the Saints look for experienced mentors whilst Swans look to free up cap salary space to land a big target this off season.
