GWS captain Toby Greene is seen as no certainty to line up for the Giants in Saturday's clash with heated rivals the Western Bulldogs.
The Giants and Dogs have held a number of fiery affairs over the years, with Greene at times front and centre of the action, whether that be with the ball in hand or not.
The GWS superstar has booted 20 goals in his last five appearances against Luke Beveridge's side, including a seven-goal haul last year in Canberra.
Greene has struck fine form to start this season, with 20 goals to his name from seven games - six of which he has recorded multiple majors.
But the 29-year-old might not lace up the boots for the Giants this weekend due to soreness, according to AFL Mediaย reporter Damian Barrett.
Greene is understood to be "very sore" and in "big doubt" to play in Saturday night's clash, with Greene's potential absence a big blow for Adam Kingsley.

The Giants currently have Daniel Lloyd, Jake Riccardi, James Peatling and Kieren Briggs on standby if Greene is a late withdrawal, with Lloyd and Peatling perhaps the more likely suitors to replace their skipper.
GWS made just the one change heading into Round 8, with Callan Ward returning from suspension as Peatling (omitted) and Harry Rowston (sub) made way.
Both the Bulldogs and Giants will confirm their final teams at 6:30pm (AEST) on Saturday - one hour prior to the bounce at Manuka Oval.
