AFL.com.au’s Mitch Cleary says that Hugh Greenwood is set to join the murder of Crows exiting Adelaide following a so-so 2019 season that has the club looking to rebuild.

Cleary went on Trade Radio on Monday and said that he can confirm that Greenwood would be heading to the Gold Coast for 2020.

“I think it’s going to be a four-year deal to get him to the Suns. I think it was only going to be a two or three-year offer from the Crows," Cleary said.

“He starts next year as a 28-year-old and he was after a bit of security. A former basketballer, he’s come into footy late so it’s his time to cash in and make the money while he can."

Cleary said that while the Crows would like to keep the midfielder but couldn’t commit to the four-year deal he was seeking.

This news comes after it was this morning announced the Suns would receive never before seen draft help from the AFL.
