The Suns have signed Georgia Clayden, Gabrielle Biedenweg-Webster and Krystal Scott as mature-age recruits ahead of the 2022 NAB AFLW Draft.

The trio are all set to add invaluable experience to the Suns side with extensive experience in elite sport outside of football.

27-year-old Clayden, a key defender, is a former representative netball and volleyball player recruited from Ainslie in the AFL Canberra league.

Scott, also 27, was formerly listed by the Brisbane Lions but is also a former elite tennis player who played in the United States on scholarship.

The youngest of the three, 24-year-old Biedenweg-Webster, is a talented rebounding defender recruited from Williamstown in the VFLW.

Gold Coast AFLW head coach Cameron Joyce welcomed the three to the club, praising the trio for their individual attributes.

“We’re thrilled to welcome these three players who we think will be able to add significantly to our group for next season,” Cameron Joyce said.

“Georgia has great athleticism and competitiveness and comes from an extensive sporting background which shows with her professionalism.

“Gabrielle appealed to us as a running defender who loves to take the game on coming out of defence.

“Krystal is very competitive, she’s a hybrid defender who is hard to beat and can play on both tall and small opponents."

Gold Coast acquired the three signatures as part of the AFLW Sign and Trade period, due to end on Wednesday June 8 ahead of the 2022 AFLW Draft to be held on June 29.
