Gold Coast coach Damien Hardwick has declared contracted players Bailey Humphrey and Joel Jeffrey will be staying in Suns colours while he's in the hot seat as well as making a public pitch to key forward Jed Walter.
The trio of Suns, along with free agent Ben King, have been linked to rival clubs at the end of the year.
However, Humphrey and Jeffrey are contracted until the end of 2028, and Hardwick ensured the entire competition knew it.
"People can sit there and talk about Bailey Humphrey and Joel Jeffrey … they're contracted to us for the next two years," he said.
"You can talk to them as much as you want, but they're contracted. They're not going anywhere as long as I'm coaching this football club."
As for Walter, he is out of contract, and has spent time on the sidelines following the re-emergence of recruit Jamarra Ugle-Hagan.
Walter is being courted by a host of Victorian clubs, including Collingwood, and is weighing up his decision, despite a two-year deal sitting in from of him from the Suns.
"We personally think the best place for Jed to be is up here," Hardwick said.
"You look at our temperature today. Beautiful. You know what it's like in Melbourne? Shithouse. Stay here, Jed!"
Hardwick was encouraged by the improvement in Walter's game since returning to the senior side, kicking multiple goals in five of six outings.
With Ugle-Hagan returning from an ankle injury via the VFL, Gold Coast will give the Suns academy graduate another opportunity to continue his strong form against cross-town rivals Brisbane in the QClash.
"I think Jed's taken enormous strides," Hardwick said.
"He's starting to look like a No.1 key forward, which we knew he would be. There was always going to be one step back to go two steps forward. Now we're starting to see the player we feel we've always known."
The Suns will also unveil debutant and Gold Coast academy graduate Jai Murray when they face the Lions.
