Greater Western Sydney's Sam Reid and Daniel Lloyd headline a group of five rookies from three clubs who have been upgraded to the senior list ahead of the opening round of the season.

Key defender Henry Schade has been promoted by Collingwood to the senior list, while Port Adelaide have confirmed mature-aged forward Brett Eddy and defender Dan Houston have both been upgraded.

Reid played six games for the Giants in 2016 and offers the club another dimension up forward, while Lloyd can play on the ball or alongside Reid in the forward line.

Schade, Eddy and Houston all impressed for their respective clubs across the JLT Community Series, as all three players have put their hands up for senior debuts this weekend.
