GWS forward Jesse Hogan's contract talks have been put on hold until the end of the season, opening the door for Collingwood and Gold Coast to assess him as an option.
Hogan is among the Giants' forward-half squeeze, attempting to retain Max Gruzewski, Jake Riccardi, Jake Stringer and Toby Greene, with all four out of contract at season's end.
The unrestricted free agent, who has battled with injuries and form this year, is a low-cost option, appealing to the likes of the Pies and Suns, according to AFL Media.
Both clubs will be looking to bolster their inside 50 stocks.
Collingwood were heavily into Ben King, but he looks likely to nominate Hawthorn as his preferred destination. Hawks forward Mitch Lewis is on Craig McRae's radar, but the brown and gold powerbrokers don't want to see him walk.
The Pies have managed to kick winning scores with Dan McStay and Tim Membrey, but realise they need more assistance, especially in the absence of Jamie Elliott.
As for the Suns, they're set to lose King, who is the focal point of their forward line. The Coleman Medal leader is a consistent goal kicker, and given the uncertainty around Jamarra Ugle-Hagan's future, Gold Coast will be looking to bring in established talent.
If Hogan were to depart the Giants, it would cost both the Suns and Pies nothing in draft capital.
Hogan has played 190 games across three clubs (Melbourne, Fremantle and GWS), kicking 409 goals during his 13 completed seasons in the AFL.
He was the 2024 Coleman Medallist, which earned him a maiden All-Australian blazer and the Kevin Sheedy Medal.
