Geelong utility Mark Blicavs has penned a one-year deal to remain at the Cats in 2027.
Blicavs has expressed his desire to continue playing football next year, as the club has confirmed the rookie will remain in the blue and white hoops.
“Not many players have been able to contribute in as many ways as Mark, and we're excited he will play on in 2027," Cats football boss Andrew Mackie said.
“During his career, Mark has been a team-first player who has positively influenced his teammates on and off the field.
"The thirst he had for learning and improving in the early part of his career is something he still has 313 games later, and we look forward to Mark continuing to play a significant role in the team.”
Next season will be Blicavs' 15th season in the AFL.
He's played 313 games, earning a premiership in 2022, a Carji Greeves medal and an All-Australian blazer throughout his career.
Blicavs holds the games record for rookie players, eclipsing Hawthorn's Luke Bruest (308).
Since his debut, the 35-year-old has played at least 19 games each season, proving his incredible durability and consistency for the Cats.
