Fremantle superstar Nat Fyfe has withdrawn his name from Fremantle's squad for Thursday night's AFLX debut.

Fyfe was named in Fremantle's 20-man squad alongside No.2 draft pick Andrew Brayshaw however the Brownlow medallist has since been replaced by Tom North for the matches in Adelaide.

Fyfe was one of the few big names to be selected by the six clubs competing on Thursday night, with many clubs opting to give their lesser names a run in the game's newest format.

Steele Sidebottom, Robbie Gray and Tom Hawkins were all named for their respective sides.

Friday's AFLX Melbourne teams will be named at 4pm today.
