Levi Ashcroft locked in his future at Brisbane during the week, nominating the club under the father/son rule and joining brother Will in the process.

The 17-year-old made his VFL debut for Brisbane on Sunday following the Lions upset defeat to GWS at home the day prior, and outright dominated.

Ashcroft started like a house on fire with 10 touches in the opening term and was the driving force in the Lions' surge from the second quarter onwards, nailing his first goal for the club with a long bomb near the boundary line to cut back a 19-point defecit.

The young cub finished with a whopping stat line of 35 disposals, 11 clearances, eight marks, five tackles and that goal, quite clearly the best player on the ground.

Fringe senior squad members Darcy Fort and Jaxon Prior were also productive, the former dominating his ruck duel with 52 hit-outs to go with 18 touches and a goal, while the latter racked up 21 and 10 marks.

The Lions stormed over the Giants in the end, running out 50-point victors (122-72) to secure third spot on the VFL ladder ahead of their final home & away meeting.

Fellow soon-to-be draftees Jagga Smith and Finn O'Sullivan also featured at reserves level on Sunday, O'Sullivan making his VFL debut for Richmond alongside the potential pick one in Smith.

The Tigers were not as successful, however, falling to Sandringham by 33 points.

Smith was solid with 21 touches and two tackles, while the Xavier College prodigy enjoyed two goals on debut from his 11 touches, providing something to celebrate during a disappointing loss in a now dwindling season for Richmond.
