The Fremantle Dockers are expected to "leave a spot open" to trial different ruckmen to boost their depth for 2026.
The pre-season Supplemental Selection Period can be used by clubs to have train-on players join their program prior to the signing deadline, often in mid-February.
The Dockers, having lost depth ruck option Liam Reidy, are tipped to use the SSP to trial a potential addition over the summer, per afl.com.au's Josh Gabelich.
Ex-Saint Harry Boyd and former Port Adelaide and North Melbourne tall Brynn Teakle are two players Fremantle will consider for SSP spots.
Boyd has played one game in his AFL career, which was for the Saints in 2025 after getting picked up through the SSP, but has now been delisted after the conclusion of the season.
"I expect them to leave a spot open for the SSP and trial a couple of ruckmen. David Walls has had a lot of success doing this. Harry Boyd is one they will look at. Brynn Teakle's another one." Josh Gabelich on Fremantle
