Fremantle's Michael Frederick is in doubt for the Dockers' opening game of the season against the Saints after suffering an injury during training on Tuesday.

He was a notable absentee from the Dockers intra-club match on Friday alongside some big names. Also missing were stars Andrew Brayshaw (flu), Michael Walters (managed) and Sean Darcy (family reasons), however there are no major concerns for any of them.

Frederick will miss Fremantle's pre-season games against Adelaide next Friday and Port Adelaide on March 2, leaving him likely to be very underdone even if he were somehow fit come the first game of the season.

As reported by The West Australian, the intra-club was interesting for other reasons than just the missing players, with James Aish and Travis Colyer playing against the side that appeared to be Fremantle's best 22.

Fremantle will travel to Marvel Stadium to face St Kilda in their first match of the season, scheduled for Sunday, March 19.
