Former Saints rookie Jack Bell has reportedly joined Melbourne's VFL team Casey Demons for 2021.

According to the Cranbourne Leader, Bell signed a deal with the club on Monday night for the upcoming season.

The ruckman was delisted by the Saints at the end of last season having failed to play a senior game after getting drafted to the club with Pick 5 in the 2019 rookie draft.

Casey list manager Todd Patterson said the club was excited to invest in a big man like Bell.

โ€œWeโ€™d been talking to a number of (player) managers and seeing who had rucks available and hadnโ€™t landed anywhere,โ€™โ€™ Patterson told theย Cranbourne Leader.ย

โ€œWe were looking for someone to develop and invest in, and thatโ€™s when Jackโ€™s name popped up.

โ€œWe thought he may have already committed somewhere but that wasnโ€™t the case, so we were able to get in front of him and hopefully weโ€™ll be able to provide him with plenty of opportunities in the ruck and up forward at Casey, given our list profile. We were probably a little bit skinny, a bit light on, with our rucks.โ€™โ€™

Bell played for Vic Metro in 2019.
