Former Fremantle and Melbourne player Harley Balic has tragically passed away at the age of 25.
Balic passed away on Sunday morning, with his death not being treated as suspicious.
The Sandringham Dragons product played four games for Fremantle after joining the Western Australian club through the 2015 National Draft.
Balic made his debut for the Dockers in 2017 against the Western Bulldogs and would move to the Demons at the end of that year, where the midfielder would not play an AFL game.
Balic announced his retirement midway through the 2018 season after losing passion for the game.
Tributes from friends and family were posted to social media to honour Balic's life, with the footy world mourning his passing.
Saddened to hear of the passing of Harley Balic. A former Parkdale SC student and one of the most talented junior footballers I had the pleasure of witnessing. So athletic and agile and could run all day. Rest easy, Harley ๐
