Subiaco Lions coach Jarrad Schofield has been handed a two-game suspension after he was found guilty of umpire abuse in a Round 18 match against West Coast on Saturday, August 8.
The ban, if accepted, will mean Schofield misses the remainder of the season with only two home and away games left.
The statement from the WAFL reads:
"WA Football advises that Subiaco coach Jarrad Schofield has been found guilty of 'behaving in an abusive, insulting, threatening or obscene manner towards or in relation to an umpire '.
"Schofield received a two-match suspension from the WAFL Tribunal on Tuesday evening.
"Schofield has until 5pm WST on Wednesday to lodge an appeal."
The Lions face Claremont and East Perth to round out the year, but are in the race for the finals, sitting in seventh, one win below Perth in third.
Schofield - who was the caretaker coach of the Eagles AFL side once Adam Simpson departed in 2024 - joined the Lions ahead of the 2026 season after four years with West Coast in the AFL.
