Former Fremantle defender Taylin Duman has ventured to Eastern Football League side Doncaster East for 2023 following a stellar season in the VFL with Frankston.

Duman was named in the VFL Team of the Year in his first campaign since being cut from the Dockers, where he played 45 games in four seasons.

The 193cm-tall backman joined Frankston ahead of the 2022 VFL season as a marquee recruit, with the intercepting defender playing 16 games for the Dolphins to average 21.7 disposals, 7 marks and 2 tackles per game.

On Tuesday, Doncaster East confirmed the signing of the Victorian for next season.

"We are pleased to announce the signing of Taylin Duman," a Doncaster East release reads.

"Tay played 45 games for Fremantle in 2017-2021. Last year played Frankston in the VFL and was named HBF in the team of the year. Tay is very excited to start his next footy chapter with us.

"Please welcome Taylin, his partner Claudia & daughter Ayla."

Duman joins former Brisbane and Carlton midfielder Tom Bell in signing for the Lions for the 2023 season.

Doncaster East managed a fifth-place finish this year in the EFL's Premier Divison.
