Former Adelaide forward Tariek Newchurch has returned to his former SANFL club North Adelaide following his recent Crows departure.
The promising forward was a graduate of the Crows' Next Generation Academy and first joined the club rookie-list selection in 2020.
Newchurch was delisted by the Crows after three years at West Lakes, where he wouldn't manage to break into Matthew Nicks' side and would play 54 games for Adelaide's reserves for a return of 76 goals.
The 21-year-old has returned to the Roosters following Adelaide's decision not to offer him a new deal for 2024, with North Adelaide announcing the forward's signing this week.
"The North Adelaide Football Club is thrilled to announce that Tariek Newchurch will re-join the Roosters in 2024," a club post read.
"Tariek Newchurch heads back to the Roosters, after spending the last 3 years with the Adelaide Football Club. Tariek is originally from the West Augusta Football Club in our country zone and represented North Adelaide in our Under 18 centre of excellence program, before being drafted by Adelaide in 2020 as a next generation academy selection in the Rookie Draft."
North Adelaide narrowly missed out on a top five finish and finals placing this year, amassing eight wins and 10 losses to sit one point shy of the post-season cut-off.
Meanwhile, delisted Port Adelaide backman Jake Pasini has returned to Western Australia to rejoin his junior club Swan Districts in the WAFL.
The 192cm backman was one of eight players delisted by the Power this off-season, with Pasini's time at Alberton coming to an end after a luckless four years.
The 22-year-old required two shoulder reconstructions and ruptured his ACL during his time with the Power, with an AFL debut out of reach for the Western Australian.
Swan Districts announce Pasini's return ahead of the 2024 WAFL season in what is a major coup for the black and white Swans.
Pasini played 33 games for the Port Adelaide Magpies over the past three seasons, 19 of which came in 2023 as the young defender managed to enjoy a full season at the SANFL level.
He averaged 12.2 disposals, 4.0 marks, 2.4 tackles and 4.3 rebound 50s while moving the ball at 94% efficiency this year.
Swan Districts finished the WAFL season in seventh after recording eight wins from 18 matches in 2023.
