When the war chest opened for St Kilda, and they picked up the likes of Tom De Koning, Sam Flanders, Jack Silvagni and Liam Ryan, alongside retaining Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera, Saints fans had a lot to be excited about and finals on their minds. But after missing the finals again, heat has ramped up on Lyon and the Saints.

It will be Lyon's fifth and last contracted year in charge next season, and if they cannot finish in the top 10, you have to think about what his future looks like beyond 2027.
