West Coast chair Paul Fitzpatrick has released a letter to members, revealing that the club will "look into" the injury crisis currently debilitating the club.
The Eagles currently have 18 players on the injury list, with Jai Culley the latest casualty after suffering an ACL injury in Round 8. The young Eagle, who made his debut in 2022, will now miss the remainder of the 2023 season.
Mounting injuries have taken their toll, reminiscent of the Eagles' 2022 season which saw them contend with injury and Covid-19 outbreaks throughout. Now in 2023, the club has just one win on the board after eight weeks and is keen to investigate the soft-tissue injuries plaguing the club.
"While the injury list has clearly been a major factor in our battles this season, with the majority of those being collision injuries, we have experts helping us look into the situation to see whether there are specific reasons behind a number of the soft tissue injuries that have occurred," Fitzpatrick wrote.

"To go from having almost every player fit and available leading into the round three RAC Derby, to having 16 or 17 players on the injury list and losing seven players in one game, has been extraordinary.
"But regardless of that dire situation, we are committed to rebuilding our list from the bottom up. Our current plight has merely shone the spotlight on the situation."
The Eagles currently sit 17th on the ladder with games against Gold Coast, Hawthorn and Essendon to come next.
