Key members of West Coast's 2006 premiership side will once again have an impact when it comes to the medal ceremony, being part of this year's Grand Final presentations.

Withe the season-decider already confirmed to be played in Perth, the AFL have announced former Eagles coach John Worsfold and Norm Smith medallist Andrew Embley will award  the individual accolades at this year's Grand Final.

Worsfold will present the premiership winning coach with the Jock McHale Medal, while Embley will be awarding the best player from the Grand Final with the Norm Smith Medal.

The appointments follow the league confirmation that Eagles great and premiership defender Glen Jakovich will be the 2021 premiership cup ambassador.

The West Coast royalty will be welcomed to the game's post-match ceremony in front of close to 60,000 fans in what will be an historic evening for Perth locals.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Grand Final will be played in Western Australia for the first time ever, marking the second season in a row that the game has been located away from Melbourne.

The AFL confirmed the 2021 Grand Final will commence at 5:15pm local time and 7:15pm AEST.
