Star Lion Lachie Neale underwent scans after Brisbane's third-straight loss to start the 2024 season.

However, the reigning Brownlow medallist is not expected to miss any of the River City side's upcoming fixtures.

According to a brief social media statement released by the Lions, Neale is said to have underwent scans in the wake of Brisbane's Easter Thursday loss to Collingwood, with the former Docker reportedly rolling his ankle.

Yet, the Lions quickly poured water on any rising fears, stating that Neale "is expected to play against North this week."

Brisbane's blueprints to go one better in season 2024 have got off to the worst possible start, with Chris Fagan's pride proving limp in the early stages, losing consecutive clashes against Carlton, Fremantle and the Magpies.

The defeats at the hands of Carlton and Collingwood will rankle those within the den's four walls most, as both came on the Lions' previously happy hunting ground at the Gabba.

Between the dawn of the 2020 season and the close of 2023, Brisbane had dropped just three home clashes, racking up 38 wins from 41 starts.

Neale, Fagan and the Lions will earn their next chance to get their first win on the board in 2024 when they host North Melbourne at the Gabba this Friday.
