Gold Coast have welcomed Geelong midfielder George Horlin-Smith to the club, after trading pick 59 to the Cats for his services.

The Suns could have picked him up in free agency, although that would have cancelled out their compensation for Tom Lynch, which is why they’ve traded for the 25-year-old.

Horlin-Smith has played 51 games since joining the club, but could only manage four games in 2018.
