The Western Bulldogs have announced the appointment of Sue Clark as the club's new Chief Operating Officer.

Clark has been in the same role at Geelong since 2014, with the Dogs poaching her to replace Michael Quinn, who stepped aside in June last year.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for me to join the Western Bulldogs, and I'm excited by the challenge," Clark said.

"The Bulldogs have worked hard to position themselves as a strong, financially stable club with some exciting projects already underway and planned for the future."

Clark will oversee the Bulldogs' major projects and strategy, including their Ballarat project and Whitten Oval redevelopment, as well as their financial operations.

CEO Ameet Bains said he was excited to work with someone held in such high regard across the industry.

"Sue has an excellent reputation in the AFL on both a professional and personal level, and her experience in finance and stadium projects over an extended period make her the ideal candidate for this role."
