Retired Collingwood premiership player Will Hoskin-Elliott has landed at the local level after departing the AFL, signing with Victorian side Yarraville Seddon.
Hoskin-Elliott's 242-game career in the top flight came to a conclusion at the cessation of the 2025 season, with the inaugural GWS squad member deciding to hang up the boots after 14 years in the AFL.
The 32-year-old was drafted to the Giants in 2011 as the fourth overall selection, and would spend five years in Sydney's west before seeking a return to his home state.
He joined Collingwood ahead of the 2017 season and would play 22 games in his maiden year in black and white. The following year, Hoskin-Elliott featured in the Magpies' grand final defeat to West Coast but would reach the ultimate glory five years later in the club's triumph over Brisbane.
Hoskin-Elliott is one of six Magpies to leave the club since the end of their campaign, with Charlie Dean, Ash Johnson, Fin Macrae and Oleg Markov all delisted, and forward Brody Mihocek moving to Melbourne as early as this week.
The Western Jets product will now return to the grass roots level in 2026, returning to his old junior club Yarraville Seddon.
"Collingwood premiership player Will Hoskin-Elliott has signed to play for the Eagles in 2026," a club post on Sunday read.

"He played his very first game of football on Yarraville Oval as an U10 player and returns to Yarraville Oval after 242 games with Collingwood and GWS.
"Please join us in welcoming Will to the club and let's get excited about next season."
Competing in the Western Football League, the Eagles' senior men's side finished second on the ladder this year before bowing out in a preliminary final to Caroline Springs last month.
