Essendon has delisted midfielder Elijah Tsatas after a maligned four seasons at The Hanger.
Once a celebrated Pick 5 in the draft, Tsatas never made his mark on the club. However, the development of players at Essendon has been left wanting for a long time now.
It is only four years on from him being in the top five best junior footballers in the country, so which club would be the best landing spot for him to utilise his speed, clean disposal use and ball-winning ability, while also helping him grow his impact and defensive efforts?
The 21-year-old midfielder dominates the game at VFL level, so could an AFL club with a strong ability to develop its players get the best out of Tsatas?

GWS Giants
There appears to be a clean-out occurring at GWS. Out with the old, in with the new.
While the Giants won't want to refer to it as a rebuild, they are getting rid of Jesse Hogan, Jake Stringer, Kieren Briggs, and possibly the likes of Toby Greene, Harry Himmelberg and Lachie Whitfield.
So with that, some depth will be required for the Orange Tsunami in 2027.
Greater Western Sydney also has a proud history of taking in players from other clubs that have struggled for whatever reason and turning their careers around. Point and case in Hogan, and to a lesser extent Oliver and Stringer.
The Giants do have a good midfield with Oliver, Finn Callaghan and Tom Green, but there is no reason why they shouldn't target a cheap project player in Tsatas. Especially with Stephen Coniglio and Josh Kelly slowing down.
Would be good at Richmond need another accumulator and distributor of the ball.
