Western Bulldogs veteran Dale Morris has suffered a suspected ACL injury in his first game back in the senior side.

The 36-year-old was chasing a loose ball on the wing early in the third term when a sudden change in direction forced his knee to twist.

Morris made his return to the Bulldogs team for the first time this season after he suffered a partial tear of the anterior cruciate ligament during training in March.

He had played four games in the VFL before the clash against Fremantle at Marvel Stadium on Sunday.
