Former Saint and Roo Nick Dal Santo has spotlighted the statistics that show the rift in Geelong's main performers - stating that the team need more production from their bottom six players.

The Cats lost to Adelaide last night by 15 points, but as Dal Santo sees things, the blame shouldn't be placed purely on their superstar five or six players.

“If I walked in here and said, did you see the game last night?” he told SEN Breakfast.

“You say no, give me some numbers.

“Patrick Dangerfield has had 33 disposals and three goals, Joel Selwood 29 disposals, Gary Ablett 32 and five tackles, Tom Hawkins has had 18 disposals and four goals, Mitch Duncan 23 disposals and one goal, and Tim Kelly 29 disposals and one goal.

“What’s your next question? How much did they win by…well actually, they lost by 15-points."

Dal Santo adds that Richmond's premiership success from last season showcases how significant it is a team where everyone is contributing.
