Former St Kilda great Nick Dal Santo says Blues veteran Dale Thomas is in trouble for his hit on Collingwood midfielder Levi Greenwood.

Thomas bumped Greenwood during the third quarter of his side's 20-point loss to Collingwood at the MCG, catching the Magpie's head and leaving him concussed and unable to return to the game.

Dal Santo claims Thomas' hit was "more intentional" than GWS forward Jeremy Cameron's bump on Lions defender Harris Andrews that caused internal bleeding.

“I thought that was more intentional than the Jeremy Cameron one,” he told SEN Afternoons.

“He went over there to lay a bump, went out of his way to do it, and flushed Greenwood in the head.

“He’s 100 per cent in trouble.”

Host Any Maher agreed, saying Thomas went into the contest with a clear motive.

“That’s the classic, if you choose to, and you do, then you’re gone,” he said.
