Collingwood have unveiled a revamped leadership group heading into the new campaign.

Premiership-winning captain Darcy Moore will retain the lead role for a third consecutive season, surpassing his legendary father Peter's two-year stint as Magpies skipper (1981-1982).

34-year-old defender Jeremy Howe has followed in the footsteps of fellow veteran teammates Scott Pendlebury and Steele Sidebottom by stepping away from official leadership responsibilities. This marks an end to the high flyer's seven-year stint in the Magpies' leadership group.

Heart and soul defender Brayden Maynard is set to undergo his second year as vice-captain and will be accompanied by fellow All-Australian Nick Daicos in the shared role. As the club's reigning best and fairest winner, Daicos' addition to the leadership group comes as little surprise.

Other new faces added to the leadership group includeย Darcy Cameron, Jamie Elliott and Dan McStay, while Isaac Quaynor has held his role in the group.

"We are excited to announce our leadership group for the 2025 season. We are fortunate to have great leadership depth and experience across our squad โ€“ it is one of our strengths - and it's fantastic to see the emergence and recognition of a couple of new players to the leadership group this year," Magpies football boss Charlie Gardiner said.

"Darcy has done an outstanding job and will continue to lead the side for a third season, alongside Nick and Brayden, who will serve as Vice-Captains.

"With the support of Darcy (Cameron), Dan, Isaac and Jamie, who each bring different strengths and experience to the table, this group will play a key role in maintaining and driving our standards.

"On behalf of the Club, I also wanted to acknowledge Jeremy Howe and his contribution to the leadership group across the past seven seasons. His experience will continue to be an invaluable asset to our side."

Collingwood's 2025 campaign gets underway in Opening Round against GWS at Engie Stadium on Sunday, March 9.
