Adelaide have axed troubled forward Tyson Stengle.

The Crows released a statement on Wednesday confirming the club have cut ties with the 22-year-old.

"Adelaide can confirm forward Tyson Stengle’s employment with the Club has come to an end after both parties agreed to part company.

Stengle has been on stand down from all Crows related duties following his latest off-field matter last December.

The Club has since been working with the young forward and his management to resolve the matter.

Both parties have now agreed to a settlement, with the terms to remain confidential.

The Club wishes Tyson well for his future both on and off the field."

Stengle was stood down by the club after being pictured with what is assumed as an illicit substance late last year.

The incident was Stengle's third misdeed in just eight months - after being caught drink driving in April last year and caught in possession of drugs along with former teammate Brad Crouch in October.

The latter indiscretion consequently handed Stengle a four-match ban to start the 2021 season.

Stengle has been training with SANFL side Woodville-West Torrens since being stood down at West Lakes.

The former Tigers forward has played 16 AFL games since making his debut with Richmond in 2017, before heading to South Australia via the 2018 trade window.
