Collingwood star Jordan De Goey will face a race against time to line up for the Magpies against Hawthorn on Friday night.

De Goey will need to provide two negative tests to be eligible to rejoin the Collingwood squad after he attended a police station.

The 24-year-old was yesterday charged with indecent assault relating to an alleged 2015 incident.

Collingwood have confirmed De Goey will remain part of the club's football program during the investigation but will be in a race against time to pass the necessary tests before the Magpies fly out to Sydney on Sunday.

The forward has been down on form this season and has kicked two goals in five games.
