Collingwood have confirmed that Beau McCreery and Josh Carmichael have been involved in a car accident on the eve of their preliminary final against Sydney.
The incident occurred while the pair travelled to the airport on Friday, with the club confirming that neither player were injured in the accident.
Both McCreery and Carmichael will travel to Sydney for the Saturday afternoon match.
Collingwood General Manager Football Graham Wright said that the club would provide support for the pair.
“The welfare of Beau, Josh and the driver of the other vehicle remains the absolute priority," Wright said.
“Neither Beau nor Josh sustained any injuries, and we will provide them with the support required in this situation.”
