Collingwood great Dane Swan will pull on the boots in a one-off outing for New South Wales club South West Sydney on Saturday.

Swan, who has plied his trade for Southern Football League club St Kilda City across the past two years, will make the venture north of the Victorian border for a singular appearance with the Blues.

The Brownlow Medal winner will feature at Rosedale Oval in Warwick Farm this weekend as South West Sydney clash with the Balmain Tigers.

Swan's appearance will be followed by a Sports Dinner with the Blues, where he will be a keynote speaker among other sporting identities.

The 38-year-old will bring with him 258 games of AFL experience, in which he won a premiership, Leigh Matthews Trophy, five All-Australian selections and three best and fairests on top of his Brownlow Medal.

South West Sydney currently sit third on the Platinum Division ladder in AFL Sydney, having won five of their eight matches for the year.

Swan's effort with St Kilda City has also seen the SFNL side sit within premiership contention, currently placed fourth in the Division 1 standings.

Saturday's match between South West Sydney and Balmain will commence at 3:00pm at Rosedale Oval.
