We've collated all the rumours and reports so far this season to bring you a thorough analysis of who every club is said to be targeting so far this year.
Adelaide
The Crows will most likely not be huge players in this year's trade period. However, they may make another play for Carlton star Bryce Gibbs, which would be their biggest and most notable move of the off-season.
They will however, face a fight to keep emerging forward, Mitch McGovern and young defender, Jake Lever.
Brisbane
The Lions' biggest priority is retaining its young talent that has deserted them in recent years.
They'll also be hoping star midfielder Tom Rockliff commits his future to the Lions.
Carlton
The Blues are reportedly into GWS young gun, Jacob Hopper, which is no surprise given Carlton's long list of recruits from GWS over the past few seasons.
Carlton is also said to have kept an eye on Adelaide's Mitch McGovern.
Collingwood
Collingwood has also reportedly shown some interest in Giants youngster, Jacob Hopper and teammate and small forward, Devon Smith.
Smith is said to be good friends with former Giants turned Pies, Taylor Adams and Adam Treloar.
Sydney's Sam Reid, who is out of contract, will most likely also be a target come trade time, given the Pies' forward woes. Reid is the brother of Collingwood defender, Ben.
Essendon
The Bombers are said to be into Western Bulldogs half back Jason Johannisen and have also been thrown up as a potential suitor for Jacob Hopper from the Giants.
The Dons are also interested in Sydney midfielder, Zak Jones, but Melbourne is in the box seat given Jones' brother, Nathan, is the club's co-captain.
Fremantle
The Dockers are looking into Western Australian boy, Mitch McGovern, who has impressed in his first few seasons at Adelaide in the forward line. However, they face stiff compeition from the Eagles, where McGovern's brother, Jeremy plays.
Adelaide is also desperate to re-sign the promising youngster.
Geelong
Geelong look almost certain to regain favourite son, Gary Ablett.
Ablett had a trade request denied last season, but after his personal issues clearly affected his form early in the year, the Suns are unlikely to stand in his way again.
However, as he is contracted for 2018, getting a deal done that satisfies both clubs could be difficult.
The Cats have also reportedly kept an eye on Devon Smith, who played for the Geelong Falcons at TAC Cup level.
Gold Coast
The Suns' main priority this off-season will be to re-sign co-captain Steven May, and hold on to star midfielder Gary Ablett.
Greater Western Sydney
The Giants' cap is bursting at the seams and they need to focus on ensuring they can re-sign all of their young stars, such as the likes of Josh Kelly, Lachie Whitfield and Devon Smith.
Hawthorn
Hawthorn has been very active in trade period for many years now and look set to be once again following a disappointing first half of the season.
The Hawks are reportedly eyeing off Greater Western Sydney onballer, Lachie Whitfield.
However, Whitfield is contracted until the end of 2018, which would make a deal difficult for Hawthorn. But it is not unheard of for players to move clubs while contracted.
Melbourne
The Demons are in need of another key, strong bodied defender to assist the McDonald brothers in the defensive 50.
Melbourne is reportedly chasing Adelaide's Jake Lever and could also make a play for Gold Coast's Steven May who is also out of contract. However, recent reports suggest May could be close to finalising a new deal with the Suns.
The Dees are also keen on luring Sydney onballer, Zak Jones home, with brother Nathan, who is co-captain with Jack Viney, a big selling point.
North Melbourne
The Kangaroos have been linked with every name under the sun. As we all know by now, the Roos are very keen on both Richmond's Dustin Martin and Greater Western Sydney's Josh Kelly.
They are reportedly offering Kelly a nine-year, $9 million deal, while Martin is also being offered around $1 million per season over six years.
However, more recently, they have also been linked with a move for Port Adelaide's Jasper Pittard and GWS young gun, Jacob Hopper.
Sydney's Zak Jones is also out of contract and is being closely monitored by the Roos.
But, the Roos have a history of missing out on top end talent. Will this year be any different or will they finally land a big fish?
Port Adelaide
Port have a few players who will targeted by other clubs, most notably, Jasper Pittard (North Melbourne) and Jackson Trengove.
Richmond
Richmond, who was interested in Brisbane midfielder, Josh Schache before he re-committed to the Lions, is also keen on Sydney tall, Sam Reid. Reid has been impressive this season for the Swans and the club will struggle to retain all of its stars under the salary cap.
The swingman will be a good fit in the forward line alongside Jack Riewoldt, whom the Tigers have failed to find an appropriate partner for in attack in recent years, with the likes of Ty Vickery and Ben Griffiths not coming on as expected.
The Tigers are also reportedly keeping tabs on Giants forward Devon Smith.
St Kilda
Like North Melbourne, the Saints have signaled their intent to land a big fish this trade period, with St Kilda Football Manager, Jamie Cox, recently confirming the club's interest in both Josh Kelly and Dustin Martin.
They have also kept tabs on out of contract Swans midfielder, Zak Jones.
However, they have officially pulled out of the race for Fremantle captain and free agent, Nat Fyfe.
Sydney
The Swans will have their hands full fitting in their players, such as Zak Jones and Sam Reid, who are out of contract, with big money deals for their top end talent likely to force some players out.
West Coast
West Coast has been heavily linked with a move for Adelaide forward, Mitch McGovern. He is a WA boy, is out of contract and his brother Jeremy plays for the Eagles. He has shown plenty in his short career to date and will command plenty of money.
The Eagles are also reportedly into Bulldogs Norm Smith medalist, Jason Johannisen, who spent most of his childhood living in Western Australia.
Western Bulldogs
Will be working hard to retain Norm Smith Medalist, Jason Johannisen.
