Clubs circling delisted Swan

Delisted Swan Xavier Richards is attracting interested form a number of rival clubs, according to his manager.

Richards was delisted by Sydney on Thursday, along with Jack Hiscox and Abaina Davis.

He rejected a two-year contract extension with the Swans and requested a trade during the recent trade period, however, failed to find a new home, before being a shock delisting yesterday.

The 23-year-old’s manager, Phil Mullen, confirmed there had been interest in the now former Swans player.

“There’s been some interest, yes,” Mullen said.

“We’re waiting for the (delisted free agency) period to start and we’ll go from there.”

Richards played 10 games for the Swans this season, including the grand final.
