Former St Kilda captain Danny Frawley believes the career of Western Bulldogs forward Travis Cloke is already coming to an end.

Cloke made a highly publicised move to the reigning premiers from Collingwood at the end of last season following 246 games for the Pies over 12 years.

From his five games this season Cloke has returned six goals and has taken just over four marks a game, but was dropped for Saturday's clash with St Kilda.

Frawley says it could mark the beginning of the end for Cloke, who 'Spud' believes hasn't showed enough in the early stages of his two-year deal with the Dogs.

“Without being too flippant, I think (Cloke’s) papers are stamped,” Frawley told SEN radio on Friday night.

“You won’t hear his old man saying that they aren’t kicking the ball too well to him now…I would be interested to hear what David’s thoughts are now.”

Frawley was referring to comments made by David Cloke earlier this season, when he said the poor ball use from Collingwood's midfield was to blame for his poor 2016 campaign.

While Cloke losing his place in the side was a fair call according to Frawley, fellow Dogs forward Jack Redpath was a little hard done by.

“I think the guillotine this year can be too swift and too sharp,” he said.

“I was very surprised Redpath got dropped…I think at times the ability to actually do what he did last year, maybe it’s just a little bit too swift.

“Redpath should still be in the team.”
