Geelong have confirmed a late change to their side to face Richmond on Sunday at the MCG.

Veteran midfielder Shaun Higgins has been replaced in Chris Scott's squad to face the reigning premiers, with forward Brad Close now named to take on the Tigers.

Geelong have revealed that Higgins will miss the match with knee soreness, while Close will return to the senior side after originally being managed by the club.

With Close coming into the 22-man team, speedster Jordan Clark has been moved into the emergencies for the Grand Final rematch.
