Carlton could be without a trio of tall forwards, including both of their Coleman Medal winners, for a Round 15 clash with the Kangaroos.

Already without Harry McKay (knee), who is set to see a specialist, the Blues are dealing with further concerns after Charlie Curnow (calf) and Hudson O'Keeffe (hamstring) picked up ailments in Sunday's win over West Coast.

Carlton took the precautionary route with Curnow, who believed he could've continued in the game, while O'Keeffe came from the field in the second half and didn't return with the game comfortably in the Blues' favour.

Speaking after the win, Carlton coach Michael Voss said both talls will be monitored over the next week.

"Calf tightness, but it got to the point where we weren't going to take any risk with it," Voss said of Curnow's injury.

"Charlie mentioned wanting to go back out there, but ultimately we made the decision that it was a risk not worth taking.

"Huddo hurt his hamstring, that was a little bit tight. It was during the third quarter that he hurt it again, so we'll get that scanned."

McKay, who is "holding up OK" amid his sideline stint, will have his knee concern investigated over the coming days as the Blues look to understand the extent of his current issue.

Voss was uncertain as to whether McKay could be available for Round 15, potentially ruling him out of a third straight game.

"We have to explore that. We need to investigate it further, and obviously seeing a specialist is one of those steps that we'll take," Voss said.

"Then we'll make some decisions off the back of that, probably sometime during the week.

"We had a look at it a couple of weeks ago and the advice was to wait and see how it responded. We were hopeful that it turned a corner, but it hasn't.

"So we'll have to just do a little bit more further investigation and make a call from there."

The concern for Curnow, coupled with McKay's current absence and the injury to O'Keeffe, could see Voss dive further into his key position stocks for next week's clash with North Melbourne.

The next likely option in the Blues' pecking order could be third-year tall Harry Lemmey, who booted four goals in the VFL over the weekend against the Northern Bullants.

Lemmey has kicked 22 goals in 10 games at the state league level, a run that includes a seven-goal haul against Sydney's reserves.

Carlton face North Melbourne at the MCG on Saturday, with the Blues no certainty to have McKay and Lachie Cowan (hamstring) back from injury.
