Carlton is investigating vile comments from a Blues fan podcast after it made comments towards a female-focused Carlton supporter group named "The Carlton Besties".

The host of podcast "The Jumper Punch" said he would “punch the f*** out of the Besties” when referring to the creators' chance in winning a fight.

The conversation on the podcast centred on which Blues content creators would win in a fight.

“Name one creator out there that I wouldn't beat up,” Carlton fan Rocco Stagnitti said in the episode.

He proceeded to say the "Carlton Besties" would be “punch the f*** out of..." prompting laughs from the three other guests.

The comment was made ahead of the annual Carlton respects game between the Blues and Geelong at the MCG next week.

Carlton Respects is the Blues' flagship off-field initiative which aims to create a society of equality and respect in schools, workplaces and communities, standing against violence towards women.

Stagnitti turned to social media to show his remorse and apologise for his remarks.

“Although my intentions were not malicious, I completely acknowledge that what I said promotes the wrong message, and made many feel uncomfortable,” Stagnitti said.

“This is a position I would never want to put anyone in, but more importantly women.

“For that, I am sorry, and I apologise to everyone that was affected by my comments.”
